This fee will be added to the total amount charged to your client, and it’s fully customizable based on your business needs. The fee is automatically divided across all parts of the booking, such as hotels, transfers, and tours, ensuring fair charges across services.
The best part? It’s completely transparent for your client. They’ll only see the total price, which includes the booking fee, and all the details are handled in the background to make the process smooth and simple for you.
This new feature gives you the ability to easily increase your earnings by adding a booking fee to any itinerary. The fee is divided proportionally across all services in the booking, ensuring that each part of the itinerary is handled fairly. You don’t have to worry about managing refunds either—if any part of the booking is canceled, the appropriate portion of the booking fee will be automatically refunded. Room-Res only charges a small processing fee of 4% or $5 (whichever is greater), which is also refunded in the event of a cancellation. This feature provides you with more flexibility, greater control over your commission, and a seamless experience for both you and your clients.
How It Works:
With the new booking fee feature, adding a custom fee to any itinerary is quick and easy. When you finalize a booking, you simply enter the desired fee during checkout. This fee will then be proportionally divided across all the elements in the booking, such as hotels, transfers, or tours, based on their value. You don’t need to manually split the fee—it’s all done automatically. In the event that any part of the booking is canceled, the portion of the booking fee attributed to that service will be refunded, along with Room-Res's small processing fee of 4% or $5, whichever is greater. This ensures that any adjustments to the booking are handled fairly and efficiently, giving you full control while simplifying the process.

Step 1: Add the Booking Fee
On the checkout screen, simply enter the desired booking fee in the designated field. The amount you enter will be included in the total price shown to your client.
Step 2: See the Proportional Split
Once the booking fee is added, Room-Res automatically splits it across all elements of the booking (hotels, transfers, etc.) in proportion to the value of each service. You don’t need to do anything extra—this is handled for you.
Step 3: Managing Cancellations and Refunds
You can edit the Booking Fee after you have finished the booking in the admin afterwards. This way your client only sees the final total, with the booking fee already included.
